Show J. Hunter Gibson " , Through his life he worked at various occupations including carpenter for the railroad, at Nelson Packing Company in Cedar Valley and maintenance engineer at the Valley View Medical Center for 11 years. He ' built many of the structures at the Southern Utah State College Campus. Survivors include his wife of Enoch; one son and three daughters: Garrie E. of Pocatello, Idaho, Alene G. Chamberlain, Corale G. Jackson and Vyonne G. Robinson all of Cedar City, three foster children: Virginia C. Naegle of Cedar City, Janet Christensen of J. HUNTER GIBSON, 73, of Enoch died March 2, 1982 at home. He was born March 5, 1908, in Cedar City to David William and Elizabeth S. Hunter Gibson. He was one of eleven children. He married Lela Goodwin on June 7, 1932 in the St. George LDS Temple. He attended school in Enoch and Cedar City. At age 18 he joined the National Guard. He was an active member of the LDS Church as a high priest. He was in the Enoch Ward Bishopric and also was president of the Enoch Sunday School. He and his wife served a mission in the South Dakota Rapid City Mission in 1975-1977. , Price, Mary Christensen of Orem; and one brother and five sisters: William (Bill) of Minersville, Idonna G. Heaton of St. George, Mildred G. Dalley of Fresno, Calif. Larett G. Olpin of San Diego, Calif., Leah G. Schell of Corvalis, Ore., and Eva G. Nelson of Cedar City. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Enoch first LDS Ward chapel. Friends may call at the Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday at the Enoch Church from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary. , |
