Show Track and field meet set participating in the regional track and field meet should contact his or her ward activities committee chairman, or r call Stan Sorensen at 586-2212, 586-2212, Don Heap at 5986-3102 5986-3102 or Gary Del Signore at 586-2505. . 1 The fourth annual Cedar City Regional Track and Field meet will be held at the Southern Utah State College Track on Aug. 29, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The meet has grown from 20 participants in the first year to over 100 entrants last year. Competition is open to anyone from ages 15 to 65 who lives in Cedar City or Pa rowan or any of the surrounding communities com-munities in Iron County. The meet will begin with the shot-put for men athletes and the 50-yard dash for women at 9 a.m. sharp on the 29th. The final event will be the medley relay at 3:30 p.m., followed by the awards ceremonies. The first three finishers in each event will receive ribbons and the winning ward will receive a new basketball. '.Events are divided into age groupings so that everyone competes against athletes his or her own age. Age groups are 15-19, 20-29, 30-39 and 40 and older. The two relays, the 440-yard 440-yard and the medley, will be run in Stake teams and each team must include at least one female runner. Anyone interested in |
