Show Tax reformgroup tomeet "Downtown Redevelopmentthe Redeve-lopmentthe right way and the wrong way to achieve it" will be the subject of the Saturday morning meeting of Utahns for Tax Reform, said Robert Williams, chairman. The meeting is a no-host no-host breakfast at the Town & Country Restaurant, Saturday at 8 a.m. and is open to the public. The steering committee com-mittee has asked the legislature to phase the property tax off from buildings over a five year period and to increase the present land value tax to four or five times its present level. The group is opposed to the sale of bonds to make land acquisitions to force development in specified areas. |
