Show Walter Smith WALTER FRED SMITH, (i'J. died May 28, 1981, in Cedar City, Ut. He was born August 1, 11)11, in West Jordon, Utah, to August Otto and Ettie Hannah Palmer Smith. He married Blye Gardner on Feb. 1, 1930, in West Jordon and the marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Tmeple. He was an active member of the LDS Church and was a high priest at the time of his death. He held various positions in the wards and stakes where he lived. He is survived by his wife of Salt Lake City and three sons: Benny G. Smith of Phoenix, Ariz., Donald Keith Smith of Cedar City and Kim Fox Smith of St. George. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Peterson; and eight brothers: Lou A., Jack W., Joseph M., Dell V., Ramond D., Frank, Earl A. and Dean P. Smith, all of Salt Lake City. Funeral services were June 1, 1981, at 11 a.m. in the Bennion Seventh Ward Chapel. Burial was in West Jordon City Cemetery. |
