I : V V.' -(v ;V it-- ifJ(' '. - JM i Mr. and Mrs. Kurtis Leo Leany Dover - Leany exchange vows Trudy Kaye Dover and Kurtis Leo Leany were married in rites solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple March 20. President Elihu Whatcott officiated at the double ring ceremony. Parents of the Cedar City couple are Marion and Dorothy Leany and Richard and Elmyra Dover. That evening the newlyweds greeted guests at a reception in the Cedar Stake Center. Background music was played by Lewis Dover as the bride's aunt, Bessie Dover and the bridegroom's sister, Kathie Leany, presided at the guest book. At the gift table were Kris and Janice Johnson, sisters of the bride and bridegroom. The refreshments were served by Diane N. Anderson, Debbie Ashdown, Susan Dover and Tammy and April Dover. Special guests in attendance were grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Leo Reber of Santa Clara and Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Leany, Hurraicane. Highlighting the evening was a program of fun and music with Clyde Ormand as the master of ceremonies. Included on the program were a song by Brian Terry, accompanied by himself on the guitar; a violin solo by Caroleen Campbell accompanied by her father, Bishop Hal Campbell; a piano solo by Roland Williams, and three songs by some Ninth Ward Primary children, nieces and nephews and children of Floyd and Clare Rigby. A square dance group consisting con-sisting of friends of the Leany's also did some round dances. The newlyweds honeymooned in Las Vegas, enroute to their home in San Diego where Leany is stationed on the USS Dixie as a photographer. The bride has attended Southern Utah State College and the University of Utah where she majored in fashion merchandising with emphasis in desiga She has worked for Foxmoor Stores in Salt Lake and for Dix-O-Gas in St. George. Leany attended SUSC. where he majored ,. in photography and ceramics. He also served a mission for the LDS Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. |
