Show DAV service unit coming to Cedar City Disabled American veterans will be able to receive help in obtaining benefits earned as the result of military service when a DAV Field Service Ser-vice Unit visits Cedar City Nov. 13. The unit will be at the city park at 200 N. Main Street from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The purpose of the mobile unit is, according to Norman B. Hartnett, national director of services to help disabled veterans cut through the bureaucratic red tape so often required in providing their eligibility for their claims. The free service will cover the entire Complex of veterans benefits, including medical and hospital care, disability compensation, pension, employment rights, education, burial, vocational rehabilitation, social security; death benefits and insurance, correction of military records, discharge services physical evaluation board representation and re-. re-. opening of claims. Hartnett, added that the service is available to all veterans, disabled or not, and their families. In order to facilitate review of benefits requirements and whatever claims assistance is needed, veterans are asked to bring along a copy of their military discharge or their VA claim number of social security number. num-ber.
