Show Classes to begin for Master's degree Classes will begin Sept. 26 in Cedar City and St. George for thoses interested in-terested in working toward a master's degree in social science with emphasis in public administration. ad-ministration. The masters program is a cooperative venure between Southern Utah State College and Utah State University. The program will enable students to earn a masters of social science in public administration. Those interested in the program should contact Daphene Dalley, SUSC Coordinator of Conferences Con-ferences and Workshops and 586-4411, extension 313. "It takes approximately ap-proximately a month to process the paper work, so the sooner we get started, the better," Ms. Dalley said. The two classes offered fall quarter will be, Political Science 561-Organizatioh 561-Organizatioh and Management of Public Administration Agencies and Political Sceince 563-Public 563-Public Finance Ad-mistration. Ad-mistration. "Students who begin the program this fall will be able to complete the Masters of Social Science degree in two years," Ms. Dalley said. Ms. Dalley reminded, "It is not necessary to enter the graduate program to take these courses, anyone who would like to enroll out of personal interest is welcome to take one or both classes." The cost of the course will be $30 per credit hour and approximately $50 for books per quarter. Courses in St. George and Cedar City will be taught five times a quarter on Friday nights and then on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The courses will fulfill requirements in both public administration emphasis and the social services administration emphasis. |
