It will be held . Irom 7, :30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Bradshaw home, 259 South 300 West in Cedar City. Reed was born to Ira Elsey and Marion Hinton Bradshaw in Hurricane, the youngest of twelve children. He received his schooling in Hurricane where he met lone Woodbury, the daughter of William E. and Verda S. Woodbury. She is the eldest of seven children. After being his schools sweethearts, Reed and lone were married March 26, 1930,. in the St. George Temple, The Bradshaws moved lrom Hurricane to Cedar City in 1934 where Reed was associated for a time with his brother Stanley at Bradshaw Chevrolet. He and STanley,tben went on to open , Bradshaw Firestone. In 1944, -'jReed became sole owner of. tb.e Firestone store until-1972 'hen the store became incorporated. He still works full time although he supposedly retired in 1972. Reed is a member of the Cedar City Lion's Club and is an active member of the High Priest's Quorum in the Eighth Ward. , He has also been a part of the Red Cross, serving as .Home Service Chairman for Iron County. ... lone has worked in many civic and church organizations such as the Iron County Cancer Committee. Com-mittee. She was instrumental in-strumental in organizing the original Pink Ladies Auxiliary at the Valley View Medical Center and is a past president of the Cedar City . Lady Lion's group. For many years, she ; worked . with Reed at Firestone as " the bookkeeper. She also worked at the Arden dairy. She is a charter member of,'., En Avante Literary Club. To this marriage were born four children: Reed Bevan, who died in 1955; Mrs. Ted (Karma) Jolley of Antimony ; Karl W. of Cedar City; and Mrs. Robert (Jo Neal) Hall of Phoenix, Az. ' Reed and lone Bradshaw The Bradshaws currently : have sixteen living grandchildren grand-children and great grandchildren. grand-children. Together Reed and lone served a mission in the Oklahoma Mission in 1970-71 and currently involve themselves as temple workers and also do genealogy work. |
