Show flir Eqreo Qoardo plQEioiog eootroet The Air Force recently awarded an $11,868,091 contract con-tract to EDAW, Inc. of San Francisco for MX base comprehensive com-prehensive planning. The work includes planning plan-ning for: Development of base facilities fa-cilities and functions, including in-cluding roads, housing and operational and maintenance main-tenance facilities and utilities; utili-ties; Relationships with local community planners; Phasing of construction activities; Environmental assessments. EDAW's efforts will begin immediately for sites at Beryl and Mllford, Utah; Clovis, NM, and Coyote Spring Valley, NV. Planning Plan-ning will begin at a later date for other potential sites at Dalhart, TX; Delta, UT; and Ely, NV. The contract is expected to last for approximately ap-proximately 15 months. The following local subcontractors sub-contractors will assist: Submit Engineering, Reno; John A. Martin, Las Vegas; Bingham Engineering, SLC; Gustavason Group, SLC. The contract calls for planning facilities and functional func-tional systems for the potential po-tential MX operating bases in Nevada, Utah, Texas andNew Mexico. The Air Force will coordinate coordi-nate Us efforts with local and state authorities In the affected states to Insure maximum benefit and local participation. When an area deployment decision is made, base comprehensive com-prehensive planning will be terminated for sites not selected. |
