Show fX. ROBERTA CONDE What is going on? Snow rain, sunshine, snow, rain, etc., etc., Good heavens, what a mixed up weather report. There was 8 Inches Inch-es of snow six miles up Snake Creek. Rain In the vally, but Burbank got about 4 inches of snow. Our school children have returned from their annual field trip. This year they went to Salt Lake to see things they missed two years ago. They work hard to get the monies required. Have a blanket ticket sale and a nice bake sale. Our Nevada Lions Club Convention is over. It was a wonderful get together and there were people from Utah who attended and enjoyed en-joyed it. It seems that about all one does at conventions con-ventions is eat and eat . again. Oh, well, we have "'" time to get off some weight before the next time. The birds are singing their praises and the trees are leafing out. It is great to be alive and be able to see and hear and touch each new day. The dogs think the back door should stay open so they can come in and out as they please, but no, I still open the door. Fred is out cutting the lawn again. This is the 4th time in 3 weeks. The rain sure helps everything grow. The -weeds also. Our mother cat has presented pre-sented us with 4 new babies. Lady knows right where they are, and she checks them out about every 30 minutes. Bud and Gen Richardson traveled to Death Valley to visit son, Chick and Shirley and the two grandchildren. They figured they had bet -ter get there before hot weather sets in. It was only 105 Thursday. The Relief Society served serv-ed dinner to their husbands at a social for Spring. Wayne andMollie Gonder traveled to the desert to check the cattle. Lots of new babies this time of the year. Jeannie Wheeler takes care of the store and Darwin Dar-win does the farming. It is nice to have the store open again. Rhea Dearden is still making lots of cookies for her three. Nothing like Mother's love. Most of our people went to Ely on Sunday to attend LDS Conference. All were glad they went. Nothing much going on, as Spring is the busy season; sea-son; plowing and planting plant-ing goes on day and night. Now its up to Mother Nature Na-ture to do her thing. Remember -afewpeople are led into temptation, but most of us are able to find our own way. |
