But the Round Robin has seen many an upset, with 500 ball clubs coming into their own in tournament play to grab the title. One thing you can count on is exciting action from the first day thgouth the last. Every team has got to play every game to win, which is the way it should be. There will be no free lunch, and no free tickets to the state tourney. Region 12 fans and ball teams will travel to Pan-guitch Pan-guitch this Friday and Saturday Sat-urday for the opening weekend week-end of the annual Round Robin. Rob-in. Division I league leaders Kanab and Beaver, wil catch a bye the first day along with Escalante, who finished' on top of Division II. There are no unbeaten teams in Region 12 this year. Kanab Ka-nab 11-1 has the best record, rec-ord, followed by Beaver 10-3 In Division I. Escalante finished the season 8-2,with Piute 7-3 on their heels. But the only concession made to the league leaders Is that first round bye, and from there it's may the best team win. The double elimination tourney will take six first day winners, and the consolation winner will make the seventh team, to go to the sectional tourney. One change in the Robin is that the teams eliminated from the winner's bracket with two losses will move to the consolation bracket March 1, with those winners playing play-ing on a neutral court on March 4, for consolation, and the seventh spot in the sectional touney. Sectional Tournament is new this year, and will be ' played in four places, all on -. the same day, on March 8th.
