Show Yon! ley pleads Dell Jay Yardley, who was scheduled to stand jury trial in Beaver County District Court on Tuesday, May 29, 1979, for a second -degree felony of Theft of Firearms, withdrew his "not guilty" plea and entered a plea of "guilty" to a reduced charge of Attempted Theft, a Class A Misdemeanor. This action was made pursuant pur-suant to a plea bargaining between the State's prosecutor, prose-cutor, John O. Christiansen, the Defendant and his attor-ney, attor-ney, J. Philip Eves. fV The original charge arose from an incident in Beaver County which occurred on September 9, 1978, at which time firearms belonging to Jeff Wiseman were stolen. The Jury, which had already been qualified by th court, was excused.' and the Court arraigned Yardley on the reduced charge. A presentence report was ordered to be prepared by the Utah State Department of Adult Probation and Parole. Sentencing will be held on June 18, 1979. |
