The schedule has Beaver coming to Milford for the second game and the first test before the home town fans, on September 1st. The rest of the schedule follows with Milford going to North Sevier on Sept. 8, Milford at Dugway Sept. 15, Kanab at Milford Sept. 22, parowan at Milford Sept 29, Milford at Beaver, Oct 5, North Sevier at Milford Oct. 13, and Milford at Kanab Oct. 27. The Milford Tigers will open the 1978 football season at Parowan on Friday, August 25th, with a strong returning front line, young backfield and a bunch of eager eag-er freshmen. Coach Hillock says he has seven returning seniors, four juniors, four sophomores soph-omores and ten freshmen out practicing once a day at 7:00 p.m. He'll boast a strong line of Steve Moody, Nick Leko, Mike Lounsbury, Curtis Baxter, Kurt Sherwood, Wayne Lowe and Russell Rose. He'll go with Arlan Mayer, Layne Johnson and Pat Cas-sell Cas-sell in the backfield with David Da-vid Barnes at quarterback. Wide receivers are Mark Whitney, Kim Williams, Troy Hardy and Doug Applegate. Johnson is a promising freshman that will probably see a lot of action, Hillock said, but we'll lack depth at all positions and there is no doubt that the other freshmen fresh-men will get plenty of ex- |
