School belle call ; G'i'tidoniG Hun. 2Srt3 1 The 1978-79 school year will officially begin Wednes -day, August 23, with students attending classes on that ' date, according to Milford 1 High School principal, Lee ' Pettey. Mr Pettey requests students stu-dents check registration and pay fees on Tuesday, August 22. The following schedule will be used for this purpose: pur-pose: Grades 7-8-9, 9:30 a.m. '- 11:30 a.m.; grades 10-11-12, 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. The fees will remain the same as last year, $10 for the activity fee and $1 for the locker use in the ' main building and $1 for lock "71 er use in the P.E. Depart- ; ment. All basic texts willbepro-vided willbepro-vided for students and in many cases special supplies will be provided in classes such as art, home economics ' and shop. Principal Pettey reported considerable remodelinghad been done in the lower half of the main building. Ceilings Ceil-ings have been lowered, new lighting installed, walls paneled, pan-eled, floor tiled and new student stu-dent lockers purchased. The work has been performed by the district maintenance personnel. Several steps have been taken to provide more continuity con-tinuity with the community, reported Pettey.
