Show Jr. liar Git y loses tuo at home Down 22-5 in the first quarter the Milford Jr. Varsity Var-sity made a valiant comeback against a sharp Beaver Jr. Varsity, but were unable to ever get in range as the Beavers had a 30-11 advantage advant-age at the half and 43-37 at the tree -quarter mark be-bore be-bore winding it up at 57-42. Milford fared just slightly better at the hands of the North Sevier Jr. Varsity. Down by two, 9-7, at the quarter, Milford charged to the lead, 20-17, at halftime. But the third quarter saw them outscored, 18-9, to give North Sevier a 35-29 edge they couldn't overcome. Final score was 52-44. Beaver's Williams was high with 13, Yardley 10, Marshall 10, Roberts 8 and Cox 6. Milford had Atkin with 12, Barnes 10, Hardy 8, Malchus 5, Mayer 4 and Puffer 3. North Sevier's Anderson Ander-son pumped in 18 for high and was backed by Shepard with 12, Gurney 10, and Huntsman had 5. Atkin led Milford with 15, getting several sev-eral good assists. Hardy had 8, Puffer 7, Malchus 7,May-er 7,May-er 5 and Wilson 2. Milford's play is improving improv-ing with each game and they could come on in the second half. |
