Kathie andMarsha came over from Cedar City and Marsha's little girl stayed stay-ed for the weekend. Floyd Wood and Shirley Hollingshead were the speakers in Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday evening. Saturday the ambulance was parked on Main Street in Minersville for people to see and look it over. The siren was blown and everyone every-one was wondering what it was. It surely is nice to think we have it for our use when it's needed. Tex and Margie Marshall motored to Las Vegas to pick up Tex's wife, Vie. She has been staying with her daughter, daugh-ter, Pam, while her husband underwent surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Arlon Marshall's Mar-shall's children from Salt Lake have been staying with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clause Marshall, while their mother has been in the hospital with a new baby brother. They will return m. m m m. J home Wednesday. The John Deere program was put on last week. An interesting film was shown and many prizes were given. One prize was given to the biggest man which Jack Mc -Mullin won. Then the rest of the prizes were given by drawing numbers. Burt Smith from Beaver won a 32 piece set of carpenter toos, Jeff Marshall of Minersville Min-ersville won a saw set, Jim -my Williams of Minersville won a toy road grader, Larry Carter, Minersville, won a toy tractor, Doug and Elm a Blackner of Minersville won a toy tractor trailer set, Sybil Smith of Beaver won a air pump, Frank Harris of Beaver a tee shirt. The following fol-lowing people won John Deere hats, Vance Marshall, Tim Marshall, Craig Davie, Robin Bradshaw. They had a bottle full of corn which contained 1100 kernels of corn. Pam McMullin won a grease gun by guessing 1094. They served home made cinnamon rolls and juice. Everyone said every year the film gets better. - m - avis - 386-2211 a 9 lb. baby boy. He was born in the Beaver hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dalton are the grandparents in Minersville, Min-ersville, and Mrs. Lenora Joseph of Beaver is the other grandparent. Great-grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dalton, great -great -grandmother is Mrs.Thelma Dalton of Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Davis of Beaver were down Saturday helping Raymond Davis with family and home. The Minersville Auxilary, under the direction of Mrs. Phyllis Truman, collected for the March of Dimes this year. They had good results. re-sults. Serveral people in town took advantage of the snow and went snowmobiling in-' in-' eluding Mr. and Mrs. Jim Craw and Arlene, Daisel Davis, Karl and Colleen Truman, Tru-man, Bob Walton and Bry-and Bry-and Davis. They all had a ball. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Niel-son Niel-son spent sometime with Madlyn's folks, Mr. andMrs. Marshall Hollingshead. Doug Mr. and Mrs. Gary Gil-lins Gil-lins are the proud parents of a little baby girl. She was born in the Beaver Hospital. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gillins of Minersville Min-ersville and Mr. and Mrs. Murdock of Cedar City. Great -grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ty Gillins. Mrs. Darlene Christiansen and two children of Orem are spending a few days visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. ; Van Davis and sister, Heidie. Mr. and Mrs. Les Smith of Las Vegas are spending the weekend in Minersville. Sally visited her mother, Mrs. Gladys Myers. Les and boys spent the weekend at Mt. Holly in the Beaver Mts. skiing. Lee said the snow was great. Lisa Eyre and Shelly Myers spent the weekend visiting family,Mr. andMrs. Jerry Eyre andMr. andMrs. Vendon Myers, and friends. Mrs. Connie Vance Marshall Mar-shall spent a couple of days in Junction visitingher parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Price. Vella Stepenson, who has been living in Las Vegas with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Browner, is spending a few days visitingher sisters, Mrs. Rachel Eyre and Mrs. Irma Eyre. She is enroute to Kearns where she will stay with her daughter. Mr. Dean Carter has gone to Caliente where he has his cattle pastured. Mr. and Mrs. Chad Dalton Dal-ton are the proud parents of |
