Show The second of Beaver County's big racing meets gets underway at the Milford track this Friday at 2:00 pjn. The Milford Lions plan two full days of racing, with a contingent of top horses, and all the fanfare of that which goes with horse racing. rac-ing. Post time is 2:00 p.m. both Friday andSatuday, July 8th and 9th. There will be refreshments at the Milford track, furnished by the Milford Mil-ford Lions and the Lady Lions. On both Friday and Saturday, Sat-urday, beginning at 10:00 a.m. the Milford Businesses will hold a sidewalk sale on Main Street. There will be bargains galore and you can shop at your leisure until post time. Friday evening the Milford and Minersville CB Club will sponsor a dance at the IOOF Hall, beginning at 9:00 p.m. Dave and Marion Robinson of Beaver will furnish the music as you like it. Mixers and finger foods will be furnished furn-ished by the club. The Lions plan seven big races each day, including the Jefferson Handicap, sponsored spon-sored by Jefferson's Merc, and the West Desert Derby, sponsored by Pony Express, Inc. of Ely, Nevada. |
