Show after a two -week stay at Guard Camp. Tim and Margie Marshall and children, Jenny andC lay, are very happy to be moved back into their home. You'll remember it was partially destroyed by fire two months ago. mmmm CONNIE MARSHALL - 386-2851 Tom and Norma Drysdale and son Karl of Pensacola, Florida called on relatives here Wednesday. Norma is the daughter of .Fay and Jessie Hall. The Halls moved from Minersville forty years ago. This was their first visit back. The Drysdales will soon be going to England to make their home. Hugh and Sheila Blackburn and family were dinner guests at the home of Hugh's parents, par-ents, Doug and Elma Blackburn, Black-burn, on Sunday afternoon. Everyone attending had a very enjoyable time. Also, M ike" and Jan King spent two days here recently visiting her grandparents, Doug and Elma. They were also here to attend the marriage of a ' close friend, Beth Myers of Cedar City. Doug and Elma Blackburn recently spent two days visiting vis-iting their daughter and fam -ily, Erma and Bruce Edwards Ed-wards of Ely. Tom Makin was home visiting vis-iting his family over the weekend. Tom is now working work-ing in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Eyre of Richfield visited over the weekend with Gayle's parents, par-ents, Thurman and Erma Food for Thought "Who, then is free? The wise man who can govern himself. Horace Mr. and Mrs. Mike Brim -berry of Fruitland, Idaho were here for three days visiting with Noel and Dorothy Dor-othy Wood. They are Dorothy's Doro-thy's parents. Ellen, Noel and Dorothy's daughter, went back with them to Idaho to stay with her sister, Valerie, Val-erie, who lives in Mountain Home. Valerie's husband is stationed there in the service. Denise Beard visited in Minersville for over a week at the homes of Lou and June Griffith and Noel and Dorothy ' Wood. Visiting a week ago at the home of Madge Carter were Mr. and Mrs. Wilden Carter of St. George. Also visiting Monday and Tuesday with Madge were Mr. and Mrs. Loren Thompson. Last Tuesday Effie Jameson Jame-son hosted the Daughters of Utah Pioneers at her home in the afternoon. Mary Beth Bailey gave the lesson on historical markers. There were five members attending; Virgine Jameson, Madge Carter, Pauline Wood, Mary Beth Bailey and Effie Jameson. Jame-son. The group planned a cook -out to be held in July. Rootbeer floats were served after the lesson. Eyre. Karl and Phyllis Truman spent Saturday in Salt Lake where they attended the Republican Re-publican Convention. Kent an d Pam Swindle -hurst have returned home to Nevada after a week's stay here with Tex and Vie Marshall. Mar-shall. Wendy Carter spent two days in Adamsville visiting with her cousin, Jill Carter. Larry andMary Beth Bailey Bail-ey have returned home from a very enjoyable stay in Oregon. Ore-gon. Last Thursday theMiners-ville theMiners-ville Community Betterment served a luncheon to fourteen m embers. It was held at the Minersville school. Business was discussed and plans made for activities for the rest of the summer. On Sunday a family dinner din-ner was held at the home of Max and Anna Rae Carter. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Michael Carter of Cedar City, Mr. and Mrs. Robin Bradshaw of Beaver, Kaylene Carter and Kathryn C arter. Raymond Davis and Ralph Walbeck have returned home |
