MINERSVILLE WARD SACRAMENT MEETING Minersville Ward Sacra -m ent Meeting was held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening. Counselor, Clarence Gil-lins Gil-lins conducted with Phylis Truman and Reva Williams taking charge of the music. Talks were given by Kenneth Ken-neth Hollingshead, Richard A lbrecht and Doug Albrecht. Prayers were offered by Dalton Fails and Dan Davis. Colleen Truman, Kaylene Eyre and Kathryn Carter spent last week attending Girls State in Cedar City. The girls really learned a lot and had lots of fun. Phylis Phy-lis Truman also spent the week at Girls State. She was a mother foroneof thecities. Karl Gillins of Hurricane spent Saturday and Sunday visiting with a lot of his friends in Minersville. Evelyn Keener has returned return-ed home after spendingafew days visiting with friends in Sandy, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Marshall Mar-shall and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Les-ter Roberts have returned home from a weeks stay in Denver, Colorado. While there , they visited friends and attended the horse races. Kent and P am Swindlehurst spent the weekend visiting Pam's parents, Tex and Vie Marshall. Kent and Pam make their home in Nevada. Van Davis is out of the hospital now, and feeling m uch better. Jenny Marshall, daughter of Tim and Margie Marshall, celebrated her birthday on June 11. She turned four years old. On Monday she had a party and several of her friends attended. Natalie Goff celebrated her 8 th birthday on June 13, Mon -day. She had a party on the school lawn at 2:00 p.m. A 11 those attending had a very " fun time. Joe Kelsey spent two days in the Beaver Hospital where he was treated for a viril infection. Wendy Carter, daughter of Allen and Gene Carter, returned re-turned home from Nevada where she has been visiting visit-ing with relatives for a week. Marilyn Walbeck and children chil-dren spent Saturday, Sunday and Monday visiting in Or- derville with Marilyn's sister, sis-ter, Linda Griffiths. Mrs Effie Marshall was delighted to ha,ve her daughter, Aline Jones, of Kaysville visit with her over the weekend. Denise. Wood visited over . the weekend at the home of her parents, Vern and F lorance Wood. Denise lives in Cedar City. Phil and Lola Roberts have returned home after a short visit in Idaho. Linda Carter and children spent two days last week visiting with her parents in Parowan. Linda is the wife of Blake Carter. Raymond Davis and Ralph Walbeck are spending two weeks at National Guard Camp. A family get-together was held Sunday afternoon at the home of Tex and Vie Marshall. Mar-shall. Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Black; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Clark; Mrs. Vie JollyjMr.andMrs. Wayne Gillins and family; Mr. and Mrs. Kent Swindlehurst Swindle-hurst and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Marshall. On Saturday, June 18, Kurt and Phylis Truman will attend at-tend the State Republician C onvention in Salt Lake. Karl will be there as a delegate from Minersville, for Beaver Bea-ver County. Last week Mary Gillins and Marion Robinson attend -t ed the graduation of Mary's daughter, Wendy Gillins, from Trade Tech in Salt Lake. She received a diploma di-ploma in Legal Secretary work. Wendy will be getting married in a few weeks. On June 5 Larry and C arolyn Maycock held a fam -ily dinner, after church, at their home.
