Besides the unlikely combination com-bination of the Resurrection and chocolate eggs, Easter time Is also family time. In fact, so many families got together this weekend that some didn't get into this issue, is-sue, so I'll work hard like the Easter Bunny to get the rest In next week's issue. This year's Easter roundup round-up included my own family, the BlakeMadsens, my mother, moth-er, Jane Johns, brother, Bob Johns, Ellis Madsen and friends, Ginny Lowry and Ed Zameckl of Oxnard, California, Califor-nia, all of whom had a Good Friday visit to Lehman Caves. Beulah Pipher visited daughters, Karol and Karen, in Orem for a week an d then was visited by her brother, Hunter Hight, and family from American Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bel-llstons's Bel-llstons's son, Denny, his wife, Pam, and children, Mark, Stacy and Kerl, of San Jose, visited at the Bellistonhome, and in the hills. Easter weekend brought Rowena Winn's son, Darcy, of Salt Lake, and daughter, Becky, and her husband, Robert Rob-ert Smith, from Bountiful. Willie and Kathy Acklin joined Lee and Molly Taylor of Miners vllle for a picnic with their children In the hills out west. Kathryn and Wesley Allen hosted their daughter, De-lores, De-lores, her husband, Albert Higginson, and two daughters from Mldvale, at a get-together in the mountains. moun-tains. Kent and Faure Anderson went to their Ephralm home to be with son, Orson and Yvonne, children, DeAnne and Douglas, plus Yvonne's mother, Elaine Smith, all from Granger; also, Loretta and Robert Brown, daughters, daugh-ters, Shelley and Kristin, of Cedar City and sons, Lee and Terry, (with family) of Ephralm Eph-ralm were there. Another An-other daughter, Donna Git-tins, Git-tins, and her son , Steven Booth, came toMllford visiting, visit-ing, and ended up in the hospital hos-pital with food poisoning on Easter they're fine now. Ann Hawley received a nice visit from daughter, Deb, and her husband, Bob Thompson, of Glenwood. The mountains also provided pro-vided a picnic area for Ken and Sonia Munk and family, Mel and Shiela Prodzinski, Mrs. David Coleman, and grandparents, Randall and Loneva Banks of Minersville. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Gay had Ann Marie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hurst of Spanish Fork, down for a short visit. Skip and Florence Beard had several guests over the past two weeks: daughter, Sandra Rollins, and two of her children, Doug and Tan-nya, Tan-nya, of Washington, son, Le-land Le-land , sister, Vernell Chrlstopherson, and friend Lona Huntsman, of Fillmore, Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Beard of Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Beard of Beaver. Glad that Florence is feeling feel-ing perkier now after her hospital stay. Rock Corral was the scene Friday night of a picnic including in-cluding Maxine and Dennis Cox and family, Bill and Shirley Shir-ley Stewart, Wayne and Beverly Bev-erly Stewart, and Mel and Carla Stewart and family. The lovely new home of Bert and Merlin Merrywea-ther Merrywea-ther was the gathering place for Herb and Zelda Coon's family, Martin and Sharon Merryweather of Oren, and Linda Baldwin and children of Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Davis and family were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Glen Johan-son, Johan-son, and Leo andChris Finch, Marlene Marshall and daughter daugh-ter Cynthia, and Mr. and Mrs. Blair Herbert from Goshen at the Red Cliffs recreation area In St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Tanner Tan-ner of Huntington Beach, Calif, visited Mr. and Mrs. Warren Atkin, as well as D. A. Tanner, who is in the hospital. Kenny. and MaryAnn Bailey Bail-ey spent Sunday dinner with John and Doragene Bailey. Also present were Philip and Jaynell Bailey, and the Carolyn and Pat Price family. fam-ily. Max and LaRee Stewart are very proud grandparents of little Amanda Lynn, baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stewart of Cedar City. The Bradshaw clan met for volleyball and dinner at the LDS Church onSaturday. Included in the fun were: Sherman and Janice Myers and family, Merrill and Joyce Moody and family of Salt Lake, Hyrum and Sylvia Bradshaw and family, and Cliff and Sylvia Ann Bradshaw Brad-shaw with their two daughters. daugh-ters. In Yucaipa they visited Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ryssman; and in Solona Beach, Mrs. Charles Thomas. Attending the Golden Wedding Wed-ding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lyman inPoca-tello, inPoca-tello, Idaho from Milford were: Mr. andMrs. Raymond Easton, Becky Easton, Peggy Fisher, John Easton and children, ClaudiaTuckeyand Ethel Luthi. Marion and Janet Walker have just returned from a vacation with their daughter, Karen, and her husband, David Griffiths. The Walkers and Griffiths flew from Oakland, California to Honolulu, Hawaii where they spent three days on Waikiki Beach. They took the sea-flight sea-flight from Honolulu to Maui where they stayed three days, then they flew to Kona where they spent two days. They flew from Hilo to San Francisco, Fran-cisco, arriving on the morning morn-ing of April 8th. The Walkers, Walk-ers, after a rest at the Griffiths, Grif-fiths, visited David's mother, moth-er, Irene, In Vacaville, Calif. They also stayed one night in Fallon, Nev. and visited Austin and Eurika, arriving in Milford on Sunday. The Mitch Fishers visited son Tim In Caliente, returning return-ing with grandson Jeffrey. Then Tim and Missy picked up Jeffrey, and Tim's fiancee Diane Seeley, and drove to Idaho to visit his sister, Terry and her family. Raymond and Eva Easton, with daughters Peggy and Becky, and John Easton and, children, Katie, John and Kevin, and Claudia Tuckey, all attended the Golden Wedding Wed-ding Anniversary of Margaret Margar-et andWayne Lyman in Poca-tello. Poca-tello. Altheda Gale enjoyed a visit from son Don Gale and his family from Bountiful, Bounti-ful, while her sister, Euzel-la Euzel-la Thomas, entertained granddaughter, Mrs. Sharon Fowler and children from Orem. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Gil-lins Gil-lins and family spent the , weekend with their mother, Virginia Gillins. Lehman Caves also received re-ceived a visit from Charlie and Diane McCulley, Bob and Anna Kirby and their three children, Dyke andMary Jane LeFevre and five children, and Mrs. Karla Limb andher baby. Diane said it was so windy at the picnic area that their potato chips wouldn't stay on their plates. Usher and Helen Wilcock, James and Diane Cox and family of Sandy, and Dan and Sandra James and children of Syracuse, spent Saturday with Emma Green, Helen's mother. The Cox family also visited Veda Cox, and the James family also visited Tom and Bobbie James. Clyde and Emma Griffiths drove to Nephi to visit Mr. and Mrs. Russell Griffiths and family over the Easter holiday. Mr. andMrs. Ross Patterson Patter-son . spent several days in Pocatello, .Idaho visiting friends and relatives. While there they attendedthe Golden Gold-en Wedding celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lyman. On the return trip they visited visit-ed in Orem and Nephi with the Leo Patterson family and the Russel Griffith family. Mr. andMrs. Ross Patterson Patter-son spent Easter Sunday in St. George visiting Mr. and Mrs. Clark Kesler. Mrs. Kesler and Ross are cousins. Mr. andMrs. Earl Thompson Thomp-son of Milord, Mr. andMrs. Val Thompson of Tooele, also Leland Thompson and friends Steve of Salt Lake, and Steve's mother and dad and sister and girl friend of Salt Lake spent Easter week- |
