Show AdamsvBenville y v 'Bessie Edwards Arthur Blackner was in Salt Lake recently to an eye specialist. Mr. Blackner is practically blind, and is in hope with eye surgery, which is planned for the 19th of April, that he will be able to see better. In spite of his handicap, Mr. Blackner . rides his horse nearly every day, weather wea-ther permitting, and never falters in his church work. He also likes to take trips with his family, whenever the opportunity arises. He is now in Las Vegas, Nevada for the Easter holidays with his daughter, Elaine Swindle -hurst, son-in-law, Arnold and their two sons. His daughter, LaRee Stewart, and family drove to Las Vegas on Thursday to take Mr. Blackner. Black-ner. The all plan to return Sunday everning. Wallace and Phylls Ford-ham Ford-ham and two sons, Greg and Hal, of Salt Lake arrived Thursday to spend the weekend week-end with Brent and Sandy Edwards, and other family members. Wallace and the boys helped Brent with his cattle Thursday. They returned re-turned home Sunday. Mr. andMrs. Arnell Banks and son of Minersville visited visit-ed withMrs. Loretta Thompson Thomp-son Friday, then took her to Minersville to visit with them for the day. Grace and Elverice Needles Need-les of Parma, Idaho, visited the Richard Fergusons the past week. Richard is a nephew of the Needles. Darin and Chris Ferguson Fergu-son spent the Easter weekend week-end in Pino, Utah with their grandparents, the Rex Harrison's Har-rison's of Caliente, Nevada. Barbara Briggs, two sons, Chad and Dyke, and grandson, grand-son, Christian Porter, visited Nettie Fordham , Bessie Bes-sie Edwards, the Ralph Fordhams and. other family members Saturday. They had come from Salt Lake to attend at-tend the 50th Wedding Anniversary An-niversary party for the Gilbert Gil-bert Briggs. They returned home Saturday evening. Chad had just returned from Eng- land where he filled a mission mis-sion of the LDS Church. Mr. and Mrs.OrriceMur-dock Mrs.OrriceMur-dock spent a couple of days in St. George to attend the meetings celebrating 100 years since the building of the St. George Temple. Bishop and Mrs. Ray Kes-ler Kes-ler and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Barton were in St. George to the LDS Temple Wednesday. Wednes-day. A beautiful Easter program pro-gram was presented in the Ward on Sunday. Golda Williams is home from California after spending spend-ing two months with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Decker. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jensen Jen-sen and son, Bobby, were in Salt Lake a couple of days this past week. Mr. and Mrs. George Hudson are here gettingtheir home ready to move back into for the summer. They live in Overton, Nevada during the winter. Clarence Hutchinson is still in the Milford hospital, but looked as though he may be home Thursday. Mr. Thomas Bartlett and cousin from Arizona spent several days the pst week with the Tom Bartlett fam -ily at Adamsville. |
