Show I-1S SECTION TO BE PAVED A contract to build an Interchange In-terchange bridge and pave the southbound lanes of 1-15 between Fremont Wash and South Beaver in Iron and Beaver counties was opened '' for bids today by the XTttift Transportation Commission. AcmeVickrey Co. of Spokane, Spo-kane, Washington, submitted the apparent low bid of $2,-861,436. $2,-861,436. The official engineer's engi-neer's estimate for the project pro-ject was $2,744,649.A11 work is to completed by October 1, 1977. The contract provides for full-width concrete paving of the future southbound southbound lanes of the freeway. free-way. Full-width paving includes in-cludes concrete pavingofthe shoulders of the road as well as the travel lanes. Two 12-foot 12-foot travel lanes, with aten-foot aten-foot shoulder on the west side and a four -foot shoulder shoul-der on the east will be paved through the nearly nine -mile long project. When completed, complet-ed, the new road will be used by both north and southbound 1-15 traffic until the northbound north-bound lanes can be constructed construct-ed under future contracts. Present traffic continues to use old US 91. The interchange bridge in-c in-c luded in the contract will be built about a mile south of the BeaverIron County line, and serve as access for the Dog Valley road. |
