Show Frost nips profits, as crops hurt Nippy weather last week shocked local gardens and some will never recover, according to local gardners. Minersville and Beaver gardens seemed to have fared worse than in Milford, and the lower gardens in elevation ele-vation also suffered less. Many farmers lost their total grain crop except to salvage what they can in hay. Many alfalfa fields were saved because farmers were In the middle of cutting and most 1 was on the ground. Silage crops were hit hard but most are expected to make crops, since the new j growth on silage is fairly ! well protected and only top . leaves are lost. |
