He was born in Ephrlam In 1879 and came to Beaver County when he was 31 years old. Olcar came to Milford In the spring of 1910 and started a stage line from Milford to Beaver. It was he who brought the first automobile to Beaver County, using it In the stage business and to carry mall. Mr. Larson thought It was a Mitchell, but wasn't sure. He said he used a couple of 12-passengar Stanley Steamers in later years. In 1916 he married Stella Crosby and moved to Beaver. She passed away In February of 1973, after a long Illness. In 1920 he entered the oil business and continued in that line until he became the janitor in the Beaver 2nd Ward, which he held for ten years. Friends made cakes and the staff and residents of the geriatrics ward helped him celebrate Tuesday. His health is good except for vision, but he still enjoys reading. |
