Show SANTA COMING DECEMBER 21 Sh togEiffiu Ciy iili'UDOKj fay Spibf Christmas Is Just around the corner and lights and decorations are beginning to be put up, businesses are getting their windows and stores decorated, toys and gifts have long been on the shelves, and the Mllford Business Association's Christmas Giveaway has been underway for a whole month. In this Issue, Mllford merchants mer-chants are offering their Christmas opening sales, and smart shoppers will give them their undivided attention, atten-tion, and get their Christmas Christ-mas shopping done while stocks are complete and take advantage of these special prices. Over $550.00 In cash, plus many hundreds of dollars In merchandise, will be given away In the Merchants Christmas Giveaway on December De-cember 20 and 21. So be sure to get your coupons and drop them In the boxes provided by each participating merchant mer-chant for their In -store drawings, on Friday, Dec. 20, and for the eleven $50 cash prizes to be given away on Saturday, Dec. 21. Mllford's Christmas street lighting was to be completed this week and lights turned on, and a tree has been donated by Glen A say, for the end of Main Street, across from the Mllford Mll-ford Hotel. The Lady Lions plan to bring Santa to town for the kiddles to speak to on Saturday, Satur-day, December 21. Santa Is scheduled to circle Mllford In a plane piloted by Ben Briscoe about 1:00 p.m. He will land at the Mllford Airport, Air-port, and be escorted to the hospital and then on down Mllford's Main Street. Exact location where he will talk to the youngsters Is not yet been determined. He will, however, be provided with bags of candies for the youngsters. The Lady Lions will also sponsor a Christmas lighting and decoration contest. There are two divisions; one for homes and one for businesses. busi-nesses. Lights may be used this year if desired. There will be three prizes In each division. All displays must be up by Dec. 20th. Also possibilities on December De-cember 21st, are carolers around the tree or on Main Street. Tlgerette marchers, and other festivities not yet confirmed. On Monday, Dec. 23rd, Jo Klllam and Bonnie Easton, under the sponsorship of the Community Schools, will direct di-rect a Community Christmas program. The program, to be held at the Mllford High School Auditorium at 7:30 p.m., will utilize local talent. All persons per-sons who would like to participate par-ticipate are Invited to call Jo at 387-2276, Bonnie at 387-2847, or Enoch Swain at 387-2638. For youngsters who are unable to otherwise see Santa, San-ta, or who for some reason need to contact him at times other than those mentioned, the ESA Sorority will again this year have a direct line to the North Pole installed.
