Show ADVENTISTS MAKE t WORLD SERVICES ANNUAL DRIVE , The Seventh -day Adventlst I response to continuing re- 1 quests for educational, ev- 1 angellstic, health, and community com-munity service will be reflected re-flected In the church's World Service Appeal this year. Pastor McCarty, Mllford Adventlst pastor, explained that an Increase In the goal has been necessary to meet urgent needs and requests presented to the church In North America and around the world. "Inflation Is another factor," the pastor explained. Community service of the church include, among other activities, a fleet of disaster relief vans located In strategic stra-tegic areas across North America. Hurricanes, tornadoes, tor-nadoes, and the resulting devastation and floods, have kept the church busy in many areas. During the next three weeks, volunteers, which includes in-cludes young people as well as adults, will be calling from door to door to distribute dis-tribute free copies of "These Times" or "Message" magazine, mag-azine, which has been especially espe-cially prepared for the appeal. ap-peal. "This is the 71st year of the World Service Appeal during which funds have been received to assist the church in its humanitarian work. Most of the church's $65.7 million budget this year was supplied by donations from its own members.
