Show Whaf Is This "College?" Ask 150 different people to define what "college" is and you will almost uncertainly get at least 150 different answers. To the incoming freshman, "college" represents a forge undefined mass of buildings, programs, and new sights and sounds.- To the experienced veteran with a doctorate degree (together with almost a decade of "college" experience) tucked away, "college" has almost become a lifestyle. To a middle aged citizen with no exposure to a "college, " it represents a mysterious group of very learned people who communicate by using big words. To anyone who becomes involved to any degree, "college" becomes a collection of experiences. The experiences selected by any single individual will be different (often vastly different) than the experiences ex-periences of any other individual. To each partaker of the "college" experience, however, certain things are commonly experienced: the classroom, the stimulating lectures, the discus sions that put you to sleep, the exhilaration of success, the babble of sounds in a cafeteria and the individual talks with people who can and often do help you a great deal. For others who look for such things, "college" offers an amazing variety of social opportunities and chances to explore almost anything. The uncaptioned photographs on these pages represent some of the things (actually only a minute sampling) that represent "college" to many people. -..
