Vt -V & Vr M The children and their families of Israel Hyrum Lamb helped him to celebrate cele-brate his 90th birthday anniversary an-niversary on Saturday, Aug. 24th, 1974, at the Ponderosa Park. The day was spent in visiting and recalling early memories. At noon all kinds i of food was served to 55 fam- I ily members. ' Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs.Carl(Thora)Craw- ' ford, Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Justin (Florence) Lamb, Mr. " and Mrs. Ed Westover and family, Santaquln; Mr. and Mrs. Delmer (Bene) Gray, Mlnersville; Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Verllne) Yardley and family, Milford; Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Gray and family, fam-ily, Mrs. John Fine, Las Vegas; Ve-gas; Mr. and Mr. Bob (Orilla) Hammond and Aly-son, Aly-son, Pioche; Mr. and Mrs. Laurnel Gubler and family, Carson City; Mr. and Mrs. Kay Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Lamb and family, Henderson; two sisters of Mr. Lamb's, Mrs. Deseret Bowers, Enterprise and Mr. and Mrs. Tom (Libby) Clary were present. Mr. Lamb was born In Orderville, Utah, August 20. Do tin and Mildred Martin-have Martin-have had a nephew and his family visiting them for a few days. ; Visiting Clarence and Wanda Corbridge during the week was their granddaughter granddaugh-ter Wanda and her family from Biloxi, Miss. ;Home visiting her parents, Lee and Lynnea Marshall, for a few days was Sherrle Lynn Marshall of Provo. Mrs. Debra Hutchings and children of Price are visiting visit-ing her parents, Wayne and Merle GlUlns. While here she Is busy canning vegetables vege-tables and pickles. ; Again over this weekend many race horse fans enjoyed enjoy-ed the races at Ely, Nev. ' " Sunday evening a class ln-gun ln-gun safety was held at the Mlnersville school for the Beaver Stake youth. A movie was shown regarding gun safety and care of guns. The teacher of this class Is Dan Davis. School started Monday with two new teachers. Donna Don-na Cartwrlght will teach the Kindergarten, First and Second grades. Howard White will teach the Third, Fourth and Fifth grades. These teachers are from Beaver. Marshall Hollings-head Hollings-head will teach in Beaver this year. Milton Albrecht Is the Head Teacher. He will teach the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth grades. TIGER LINE: Milford backs will work behind this line which isn't too bad on size and has some good experience. Left to right, they are Jerry Jimenez, Jimmy Raines, Tommy Thompson, Bryan Hanley, Dee VanTassell, Tom Jones and Randy Kerr. 1884. He lived most of his life there. After his marriage mar-riage to Phoebe Covington, they moved to Enterprise- Later on they moved to Pioche, Pi-oche, Nev. where he was employed em-ployed as a miner. Upon his retirement he and his wife moved to St. George where they servedas Temple workers work-ers for 18 years. They were the parents of eleven children, six of them still living. His wife died in November of 1963. He now resides in Henderson, Nev. with a son, Burnell Lamb. He has six children, 28 granchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. |
