Show SIGN 5-COUNTY AGREEMENT: Subdivision To Add Trailer Park Area agreement between the governing gov-erning bodies of such cities and the governing bodies of the counties comprising the district," and wherein said city believes that all health matters within Its Jurisdiction Jurisdic-tion can best be Implemented by consolidating with and being be-ing Included In said district; and said counties are agreeable agree-able that said city be included includ-ed in and become a part of said district. WHEREFORE, in consideration consid-eration of the mutual promises prom-ises of the parties hereto, it is agreed , as follows: The City of Mllford, State of Utah, is hereby included in and made a part of the Southwestern Utah health district. Council approved the Mayor May-or recommendation to hire Gerald Thomas, Sept. 1, 1974 at $850 per month as city foreman. Also, that the temporary park man and H. C. Cook, who is acting as city supervisor, be layed off effective Sept. 1, 1974. Recorder read a letter from Governor Rampton asking1 the Council to be aware of the National Flood Irisurance Program which should be adopted by the cities cit-ies by July 1, 1975. Councilman Council-man Hardy made the motion that the Mayor proceed with this program to have the city entered into it. Councilwoman Whittaker read a letter from Superintendent Superin-tendent Haslem stating that the school will not participate partici-pate in paying for the lights on the tennis courts. Mayor Young stated that this would have to be checked into. An addition to Sunny side subdivision, recommendations recommenda-tions from the Planning Commission, and an agreement agree-ment with the 5-CountyAOG were the main substance of the City Council meetinglast week. Mr. La Vae Smith proposed an addition to the Sunnyslde Subdivision. Mr. Tom Gray, representing the Planning Commission, stated that the commission had approved these additions with the following fol-lowing exceptions: 1. That West 900 South Street be made into a 60 foot street; 2. That South 200 West St. be extended; 3. That the proposed pro-posed trailer court lots be Increased in size so as to take care of adequate parking. park-ing. Mr. Smith stated that he agreed to the correction with the exception of the 60 foot street on West 900 South. Council discussed the various var-ious items and decided that West 900 South should be a 50 foot street as this was what was recorded on the previous plans. Mayor Young stated that some upgrading would have to be, done on the water lines into this area and that the city would work out a program with them on the water lines. Councilwoman Councilwo-man Whittaker made the motion mo-tion that these additions be approved to the Sunnyside Subdivision after the lots on the mobile homes have been Increased in size, and that it is understood that the streets will be 50 feet wide from curb to curb. Mr. Rick Rose and Mr. Scott Barnes asked the Council Coun-cil if they could get approval approv-al to put in septic tanks on their property. Mayor Young instructed them to draw up maps and present applications. applica-tions. Mr. Del Newdlgate complained com-plained about the skunks that were in the city. Mayor Young stated he was aware of the problem and would try to do something about it. Mr. Tom Gray, representing represent-ing the Planning Commission, Commis-sion, stated, that the com-" com-" mission had gone through the 'Model Zoning Ordinance' Ordin-ance' and recommended that the council adopt It in total and as we go, adjust it. Council Coun-cil stated they would think about this. Gray recommended to the Council that they adopt the building codes and hire someone competent to be the building Inspector. Mayor Young stated that this was being Investigated at this time. Mayor Young stated that he had discussed signing the agreement with the southwestern1 south-western1 Utah district health department and felt that we should sign It. Motion made by Councilman Jimenez and seconded by Councilwoman Whittaker that the following agreement be signed by the Mayor. -All in favor. AGREEMENT This agreement made this 19th day of August, 1974, by and between the Five -County Association of Governments situated In the State of Utah, Beaver, Garfield, Iron, Kane and Washington, hereinafter referred to as the City, wherein said association of Governments, under authority author-ity of Utah Code Annotated (1953), as amended, section 26-15-35, have heretofore created the Southwestern Utah Health District, and wherein said statute provided provid-ed in part: "Any cities located locat-ed within counties comprising compris-ing a district may be included includ-ed within the district by |
