Welcome Wel-come home. Over In Ely the other day, the Carl Deardens did some business and looking around.' Of course, the newlyweds, Tom and Rhea, only had eves MMMMMMMMMMM for one another. Lee Whitlock did some team roping practice with Carl and Tom Dearden the other night. The ladies watched and yelled them on. Claude and TinaLeFevere and their two girls returned from vacation and they all had a very nice time. They attended two beautiful wez MMMMMMMMM for LaRue's rental house. They spent the day looking at all kinds of things - material, ma-terial, dresses, patterns, food menues. Ladd Daviesdrove to Delta to pick up daughter Tracy, who had been to a BYU work shop and son Kirk, who won 1st place in the 4-H Talent Contest. The girls and boys of the valley held a record hop on Friday. It turned out great. The boys on one side whispering whis-pering and the girls on the other, giggling. Marie and Elbert Osborne have had their 12 year old granddaughter, Tamie, visiting. vis-iting. She likes it out here, but Ogden is still home and a week is long enough without with-out the soda shop, movies and the boys. Typical child. Blanche Richardson and Susie Aagard have spent the weekend with Bud and Gen Richardson visiting and enjoying en-joying the cold nights. Those blankets do feel good. While here, Blanche arrived as a 20 year old person. She left as a 21 year old adult. They had a cookout up the canyon to celebrate the big day. Preparations are in full swing for Snake Valley Reunion Re-union weekend, so you better start getting things in order so you can come. I understand, under-stand, rumor has It, that Rosie and that Delta DJbro-ther DJbro-ther of hers, Neil, are going go-ing to stir up everyone's toes at the dance. This works dings. Went water skiing and boating and slept out under . the stars at night. Now they must work another year before be-fore they can go again. Cecil and LaRue Rowley to Nephl for doctors appointments appoint-ments and to see Walter and family. Their young grandson grand-son was real ill, but he is getting better this week. Our lower grade school teacher, Dora Faircloth, has moved away and we will miss her, as will the children. Mildred and Mark Soren-son Soren-son had their daughter and her friend for the weekend. They were on their wayback to Calif. The friend made a tape recording of all the talking talk-ing and singing and then the next morning, played it back, much to the surprise of all. Cheryl Hidy, daughter of Lorraine Jensen, had grandmother grand-mother Arvilla Williams as driver when she came home from the hospital In Delta. Cousin Thelma Martin, who is visiting Arvilla, went along and on the way home got the word on hospital care from Cheryl. Happy days ahead mothers, mo-thers, our school starts on the 26th. I guess that is why our teacher, Mary Coffman, bought that extra large giant size bottle of aspirin. Billle Osborne will be there also to brighten the days with all that good food. LaRue Rowley and Mar-thella Mar-thella Jordan drove to Cedar City to get floor coverings up the ole appetite so they can eat lots of that good meat and those ears of sweet, buttered, steamed, golden ripe corn. Marge and Bill Coffman, they are the ones that have that beautiful round house just below Lehman Cave, had 56 Ely Lions and their families fam-ilies for hamburgers, pota-toe pota-toe salad, cold pop, watermelon, water-melon, on Sunday. The potato po-tato salad was outstanding. I helped make it. I have about decided to hire Pat Gonder out to others on contract, for painting. She painted LaRue's rental house and she wears all the colors well, all over well. Even little Shawn got into the act with those busy little hands. Fred and I made a fast trip to Milford in the ambulance am-bulance on Saturday with Austin Williams. Austin is still in the hospital and we understand that he feels just like our roads - real rough and just a little off center. Beautiful young people are accidents of nature. But beautiful old people are works of art. |
