Rev. and Mrs. Dan Kirk of Ely, Nev. and Dr. Persons were Monday dinner guests of the Sloans. Mrs. John Balch in Joseph, Utah, Ut-ah, Mr. Clifford Smith of Wat-tis Wat-tis and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Stella and family of Spring Glen. Utah. Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mayer were Mrs. Ilona Boulton and three sons, Larry, Mike and Doug of La Sierra, Calif. Mrs. Edna Lamb is visiting at the home of her son, Norman Norm-an L. Lamb. Mr. Mike Taylor of Salt Lake City is bow hunting in the. Beaver area and is visiting at the home of Norman Lamb. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Blackburn, Minersville and Mr. and Mrs. Val Thompson of Tooele recently recent-ly returned from California where they attended the wedding wed-ding of Norman Hollis and Miss Susa.n Becker. Norman Hollis is the igrandson of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson. On their way home from Calif, they stopped overnight in Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. John Killam and sons, Kevin and Richard, of Salt Lake City spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Killam. Accompanied by Mrs. Mary E. Marshall of Vale, Ore., Mr. and Mrs. Norman Baxter and children, Tracy and Curtis, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Hughes from Louisiana were visitors last week at the home of Mrs. Naomi Hughes. Mr. and Mrs. Randy Morris and children of China Lake, Calif, have been visiting this week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Morris. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Erickson over the weekend were her mother. Mrs. Lenora Sharp and daughter, daugh-ter, Marge. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Roberts and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Roberts Rob-erts spent Saturday in Caliente, Nev. with Mrs. Vera Rawley, sister of Mrs. Roberts. Rev. and Mrs. Sloan attended attend-ed a farewell dinner for the John Bowlin family at Delta Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Brower have become parents of a girl born August 17 at Bannock Memorial Me-morial Hospital in Pocatello, "Idaho. She was named Lynette and weighed 7 lbs. and 11 ozs. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Roberts and Mrs. Harold Goodwin motored mo-tored to Pocatello for one week to see the new baby of Lynn and Karen Brower. She is the great-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Roberts and firfet grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. Harold Goodwin of Lehi. Rev.' and Mrs. Jim Sloan attended at-tended the wedding of Gwen Jacobse.n to K. C. Denevan of Las Vegas at the Presbyterian Church at Cedar City, Satur- have all returned home after a month's vacation in the southeastern south-eastern states, where they had a reunion with relatives in Memphis, Tenn.. Virginia, No. Carolina, Florida, Alabama and El Paso, Texas. Mrs. Baxter and Mrs. Marshall Marsh-all had the thrill of visiting their folk, who they had not seen since before arriving in this area in 1943. During the trip they also visited the historical his-torical places of Williamsburg, Jamestown and West Point, Virginia and NASA at the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida. After reaching El Paso, Tex., Mrs. Harry F. Jefferson Jef-ferson and grandson, Gary, accompanied ac-companied them on a tour of Juaras, Mexico. Mrs. Harold J. Baxter. Mrs. Norman Lamb, Mrs. Leola Dunham, Dun-ham, Mrs. Arbitene Davis and Mr. Jack Fotheringham of Springdale, Utah attended the funeral of their relative, Mr. Leo Ball, who passed away August 27 in Lehi, Utah. Friends and relatives dropped in Wednesday evening to wish Harold Baxter a happy birthday. birth-day. They enjoyed sharing his Coke and ice cream. Visiting at the home of Mrs. Hilda Shields are her daughter daugh-ter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Tucker and children, Christopher and Amy. They will be here for the rest of the week. Hazel Moore has been visiting visit-ing in Cedar City with her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Carelock and granddaughter, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Ort and her five granddaughters. Mr. and Mrs. Ort and family were on their way to Colo, before returning re-turning to their home in Calis- toga, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Burvile and family of Forest Grove, Ore. have been visiting here and Cedar City with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Care-lock Care-lock and grandmother. Mrs. Hazel Moore. Gary Walter and Doug Schneider of Loma Linda, Calif, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Mayer. Mrs. Irene Stewart and James, Mrs. Betty Jimenez and Linda, LuAnn, Larry and Cin-v dy were in Kearns to visit Mr( and Mrs. Lewis Stewart and family and to attend the farewell fare-well for Dennis Stewart.
