Show 1571 WHEAT LEGISLATION According to Jeff H. Marshall, Mar-shall, chairman of the Beaver County Agricultural Stabilization Stabiliza-tion and Conservation (ASC) Committee, the new set-aside wheat program rwill be in effect for 1971-1973. On December 14, the ASC committee attended a district meeting in Richfield, Utah. There they received instructions instruc-tions on the new farm legislation. legisla-tion. One of the provisions still available is that of proven wheat yields, as continued under un-der the Agriculture Act of 1970. You may elect to write a request re-quest to the Beaver County ASC Committee to prove your yield rather than use a yield established by the county committee com-mittee on a judgment basis only. The base period for establishing es-tablishing 1971 farm yields is 1967, 1968, and 1969. To prove your yield, you must have harvested wheat acreage in each of these three years and be able to provide reliable proof of production on the harvested acres. In order to assure consideration, considera-tion, you may file a written request re-quest within 15 days from the date shown on this publication. Production data timely received will be considered before notifying noti-fying you of your official 1971 wheat yield. |
