Show (Itoer bracks News of the Students and Activties at Milford High School By LINDA SHIELDS rL -ft. One of the most entertaining events of the school year will be presented next week. The Faculty All-Stars All-Stars will play the MHS Varsity basketball team! The All-Stars have a formidable team consisting of Coach Rowley, Coach Payne, Mr. Jensen, Mr. Gay, and Mr. Winkle. But the Varsity has the advantage of height, with "Big Art" and "Little David' rising far above any are to be highly commended. They really did a great job. of the faculty members. The Varsity team also has the advantage ad-vantage of having practiced more than the All-Stars in the past few months. Some of the All-Stars may be a little rusty. This game will be a matinee feature Tuesday afternoon. Admission Ad-mission will be 15c, with all proceeds going to the concession conces-sion stand fund. o Two more practice games have been scheduled for the Tigers this week end. Friday they will travel to Piute, and Saturday they will meet the Valley High squad from Junction Junc-tion on the home court. Game time will be 6:15 for the Junior Jun-ior Varsity and 8 for the Varsity. Var-sity. The Tigers, with a record of 3-1, now hold a position as one of the top ten teams in the state. They are hoping to improve their position by winning win-ning both of this week's games. o . For the first time, the Tig-erettes Tig-erettes will be traveling away from home to give a performance. perform-ance. They were invited to present a march at Valley High School this Friday, and they gladly accepted. The girls who are marching have been practicing many hours before school in the mornings. Sometimes they have 'been in the gym at 7 a. m., long before anyone else was at school. I am positive that they will bring credit to MHS when they perform at Piute. Although only a portion of the . members will be marching, the entire club will be in uniform uni-form to add their support to the team. , The hearts of all MHS students stu-dents and faculty members seemed to be bursting with Christmas spirit this week. The students were filled with good (will toward others, and many gave a little extra of themselves them-selves to help others. Perhaps the reason for this attitude is just the arrival of the Christmas season, but I think there's another reason the Christmas decorations at school! After all, decorations an the traditional red and green set the tone for the holiday. hol-iday. And who could help smiling and letting the meaning mean-ing of Christmas flood their hearts when they see an evergreen ever-green tree or a sprig of mistletoe? mistle-toe? You can imagine, then, how the students of MHS felt upon entering the school building build-ing Wednesday morning, for they truly entered a wonderland. wonder-land. The halls were festooned with tinsel, mistletoe, and other oth-er decorations; and a large Christmas tree stood in the middle hall.
