Show RANGE GROUP TOURS EYRE AND WOOD AREA The eight members of the Eyre and Wood Cattle Company Com-pany and their wives hosted the awards committee of the American Society of Range Management Wednesday of last week. The Eyre and Wood Cattle Company had been selected se-lected as one of the three contenders con-tenders for the Rancher of the Year award in Utah. Members of the awards committee are Howard Clegg of Too-le, Karl Parker of Lo-ran, Lo-ran, LaMar Mason of Salt Lake, Perry Plurrr.ber of Logan, Lo-gan, and Dick Murdock of Povo. Also in the group were Harley Handy, representing the BLM; Mr. and Mrs. William Gibson, relatives of the Eyres; Max Phillips and Horace Andrews An-drews of the Soil Conservation Service, and Leo Mayer and Morgan Griffiths of the Twin-M Twin-M Soil Conservation District. Last year when the main streams dried up, these new springs continued flowing. After the tour the party was treated to a steak fry with all the trimmings at the Eyres' cabin on Cottonwood.
