Show MINE SURVEYORS USE 'COPTER FOR TRANSPORTATION Judge E. L. Smith has had an interesting neighbor the past week. A helicopter loaded with geophysical electronic equipment has been parked on the Library Lawn next to his home, while the mining crews were resting at the Park Motel between hops into the West Beaver County hills and mountains moun-tains making aerial surveys of prospective mining locations. Ray Mallory of Mallory Industries, In-dustries, 4029 Mount Olympus Way, Salt Lake, has been heading head-ing the local surveys, and the company has acquired three mining properties west of Milford. Mil-ford. "We are interested in acquiring ac-quiring more properties," Mr. Mallory said, "and we are particularly par-ticularly interested in helping develop the mining industry in West Bsaver County." Mr. Mallory said his aerial surveys, using the electronic equipment, have convinced him that many of the old mines of this area still contain sufficient ores to make their development financially profitable, and he feels that "West Beaver County Coun-ty definitely has a bright fu-turo fu-turo in mining." The group left Wednesday for Salt Lake, but Mr. Mallory said they plan to return within a week for further surveys and further exploration. |
