Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baker and daughter Rebecca of Paradise Para-dise visited in Minersville Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Gillins of Las Vegas recently were in Minersville. m Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cor-bridge, Cor-bridge, Mrs. Ella Wood, and Mr. and Mrs. Duard Evans of South Milford motored to Salt Lake to attend the wedding of Jimmie Evans ,son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Evans. Mrs. Gwen Pryor, president of the American Legion Auxiliary, Auxil-iary, reports that a total of $428 in U S Savings Stamps has been purchased at the Elementary Ele-mentary School. e Mrs. Albateen Roberts accompanied ac-companied her son and daughter daugh-ter in law, Mr, and Mrs. Spencer Spen-cer Roberts, and daughter Kathleen to Salt Lake over the week end. Mrs. Spencer Roberts and daughter appeared on the Talent Showcase on KSL TV Sunday, iwith Mrs. Roberts playing an original piano composition and Kathleen presenting a vocal solo. Mrs. Roberts returned to Minersville Min-ersville with her daughter, Mrs. Jane Willcox, and son. Mrs. Willcox was en route to St. George where she will make her home. C Mr. and Mrs. George Banks and family of Parowan called cn her mother, Mrs. Armina Banks, at the Milford Valley Memorial Hospital Sunday. Mrs. Banks was involved in an uto accident. Mrs. Lillian O. Skinner, 82, sister of Mrs. Susan Kelsey, died in Caliente, April 27. Graveside services were held Monday in Mountain View Cemetery, Beaver. A bridal shower was given in honor of Miss Connie Marshall, Mar-shall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clauss Marshall of South Milford, Mil-ford, in Cedar City on Friday, April 21. Connie was a student at the CSU. Attending from Minersville were Mrs. Lela Carter, Mrs. Connie Marshall and daughter Carolyn, and Mr. and Mrs. Marshall from South Milford. Val Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Carter, and Ray Terry, son of Mrs. Billie Davis, will represent Minersville at American Legion Boys State in Logan, The Primary will present their annual program at sacrament sac-rament meeting Sunday, May 7, starting at 7:30 p. m. The theme is Stairway to Lasting Joy. a Former Minersville residents stopping in Minersville after funeral services for Pat Rollins Rol-lins in Milford were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Carter of Las Vegas and Jack Roberts of Orem. VISIT LIONS On Saturday, April 22, District Dist-rict Governor and Mrs. E. L. Smith went to Heber City to attend a meeting of Utah's district governors of Lions Clubs. The following Monday District Dis-trict Governor Smith and H. L. Tolley, Cabinet Secretary, attended a Lions meeting in Payson, on the Payson club's 43rd anniversary. On Tuesday Mr. Smith visited vis-ited the Beaver Lions Club, and Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Smith visited the Hinckley Lions Club. - |
