Show Mr. and Mrs. Karl Truman announce the birth of their first grandchild, a boy born Feb. 7 to Bill and Gayle Peterson. Pet-erson. He weighed 8 lbs 11 oz. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Bonn spent Monday in Salt Lake on business. Chad Daltcn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dalton, enjoyed his sixth birthday with a party on Feb. 8. Ronnie Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Davis of Cedar Ce-dar City, will return Feb. 24 from his LDS mission to Scotland. Virginia Carter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Carter of Cedar City, married Richard LaMar Lambeth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Aubra Lambeth of Cedar City. The marriage, in the Cedar City Seventh-Ninth Ward last Saturday evening, was followed by a reception. Allen leaves Monday for Army Reserve Re-serve training in South Carolina. Caro-lina. He will be gone six months. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Carter are in St. George for two weeks doing temple work. At Fast and Testimony meeting Sunday the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack McMullin was blessed and given the name of Rodd McMullin. Minersville Ward won the Sportsmanship Trophy in Cedar Ce-dar City last week in the -hurch basketball tournament and Tim Marshall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Marshall, won the Outstanding Player trophy, e Denise Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Wood, enjoyed en-joyed her 10th birthday with a party on Feb. 6. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gillins and sons of Salt Lake visited his mother, Mrs. Daisy Gillins, ever the week end. Visiting at the home of Mrs. Lucy Williams over the week end were her daughter in law, Ida Williams of Las Vegas, and Ida's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Andrews of Roosevelt, e Recent visitors in town were Oz Myers and his son Max of California. 0 Mr. and Mrs. Karl Martin of Montpelier, Idaho, are here with his mother, Mrs. Mildred Martin. His father Dohn recently re-cently underwent surgery. Mrs. Jane Killcox and son Barry of Salt Lake picked up her mother, Mrs. Albateen P.oberts, Sunday and they motored mo-tored to St. George to visit Jane's daughter and her family. fam-ily. They plan to stay a week. 9 Mrs. Edith Bradfield was honored at a family birthday dinner on Sunday, Feb. 5, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Carter. She was 89 years young.
