Show INSECT CONTROL CALENDAR READ Y An "Insect Control Calendar for 1967," authored by Dr. George F. Knowlton, Utah State University Extension Services Ser-vices entomologist, has just been printed and is available thru the county agent's office. Each county is being allocated allo-cated a limited number of the calendars, said Grant Esplln, Beaver County Agent, and they will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The educational and informative informa-tive calendar, Extension Circular Circu-lar 335, was prepared to remind re-mind the farmer, cattleman, the gardner and home owner of the approximate time when insect, mite and tick control is needed. The handsome circular has many line-drawings of different differ-ent insects and the dates for control are indicated by their position on the calendar. Informational and educational material is included for each month, pertaining to pesticides, care of equipment, safety, control con-trol and identification. A grower's grow-er's permanent record of chemical chem-ical pesticide application is also included. "Let's make this a safe 1967, so far as insecticides and all other pesticides are concerned," Dr. Knowlton said. "Remember, "Remem-ber, more than 50 of the persons poisoned by pesticides ere children under 9 years of ge. "Let's aim to protect plants and animals from insect and mite attack. We gain little by killing a lot of insects after their injury already has occurred." |
