Show PARTIES NAME PRIMARY SLATES Both political parties held ncminatnig conventions in Beaver Bea-ver County last Monday, and named state delegates after narrowing the field of candidates candi-dates to not more than two for each office. Several candidates of each party will be unopposed unop-posed in the primary. In the commission races, Ron Bradshaw was eliminated from the race for 4-year commissioner com-missioner (Minersville) when he received only one vote from the delegates. Due to a misunderstanding mis-understanding as to time ana place of the meeting, delegates from two Beaver precinct iailed to attend. Darwin Marshall of Minersville Miners-ville will be unopposed in the primary. At the Democrat meeting, Paul A. Smith of Beaver, who had filed for the Minersville commission post, withdrew, leaving Howard Pryor and Vendon Myers as the Democrat candidates in the primary. Wally Fotheringham was eliminated by the Democrats in the sheriff race, leaving Jay Gillies of Beaver and Mel Tait of Milford as the candidates. candi-dates. The Democrats also eliminated eliminat-ed Carr Wiseman and Elmo Smith from the 2-year county commission race, leaving Hy Tolley and Gene Mayer as the primary candidates.
