Show MBS TIGERS WIN 80-78 IN CLOSE CAGE CONTEST Milford Tigers stacked up their first league win last Friday Fri-day at Enterprise by playing a high scoring run and shoot first three quarters and then1 almost lost with a fourth quarter quar-ter of ball control and take the good shot. Enterprise made 25 points with a hot hand in the fourth quarter to pull within two point of the Tigers for a final score of 80-78. The Tigers play Cedar City' a double A team here Friday, Jan. 14 and Valley on Saturday Jan. 15. Game time: JV 6:15 and Varsity at 8:00 p.m. The scoring started off fast with Milford dunking 22 to Enterprise's 16 in the first frame In the second quarter they racked up 19 points and led at the half 41-34. In the third frame the Tigers showed what they were made of, pouring in 29 points to lead at the three-quarter mark (0-53. That's when they decided to1 change the tempo of the game and switched to ball control which they were unable toi bring off, scoring only 10 points while Enterprise shooting 64 from the floor dunked 25 to almost tie the game. Each team had three men in double figures with Elmer high for Milford with 28, Root.' Edwards at 26 and Richard Smith with 11. Other Milford scorers were Winn 8, Beniah 4, Jones 2 and Rich. Edwards with 1. Enterprises Hunt had the game high with 38 with Chambers Cham-bers 15, and Banks 14. The JV turned in what may be their highest scoring game,' with 65 points to Enterprises 59. Raines was high for the game with 24 points. BarnefJ hit 12, Mayer and Workman hit 12, Kris Yardley 9, Mayer and Workman at 8 and Tait 4.j Enterprise had a balanced attack at-tack with Adams with 14, Randall Ran-dall 13, Simkins 12, B Jones 9 and R.
