Mr. Clay and I lived in Milford many years and many of the fondest remembrances in our lives happened hap-pened in that little town. Our . three children were graduated from the Milford High School, had some good teachers and went from there into college to further their education to prepare to become good citizens citi-zens in this wonderful country of ours. We all have so much tc be thankful about. Enjoyed the Milford Art Guild picture of this week's paper. So glad to see some of my good friend's pictures in it. Clay) Ed's Note: The two pictures which were printed in last week's News were quickly identified by Mr. John E. Clay. His letter to City Recorder Na-dine Na-dine Jones, below, explains. Dear Nadine: I am quite familiar with the two picture appearing in the April 12th issue of The Beaver County News. These two pictures, pic-tures, or duplicates thereof, hung on the walls of my grandparents grand-parents ranch house at Bur-bank. Bur-bank. The handsome young man centering the football is my Uncle Burt, whose address is: Mr. B. G. Clay, 440 East 3rd South, Salt Lake City, Utah. The right guard is my Dad, L. G. Clay, who lives at Logan. I believe that one of the backs is a man named Jack Travers. The setting for the picture is the campus of the Gordon Academy which was located at the corner of Third East and Third South at Salt Lake City. Dad told me that he thought that the picture was taken in about 1908. However, I suspect that the numbers on the football are "07" which indicates to me that the date was 1907. I am sending a copy of this letter to Uncle Burt. I'll bet that he knows the name of every person in the picture. Yours truly, John E.
