Show Karrie and Sue Ann of Cedar City. The Stokers stayed Christmas Christ-mas night and Steve stayed until un-til Saturday. While in Salt Lake Edith Grimshaw stayed at the horre cf her daughter and husband. Norma and Ray Christiansen and visited with other children, Anna Mae and "Hub" Hickman and Russell and Joan Grimshaw Grim-shaw and John and Dorothy Grimshaw and their families. She also visited her sister and husband, Sam and Erma Cline. Doji and Kathy Hintz of Salt Lake spent the- New Year's weekend with her parents, Cecil Ce-cil and Jo Killam and her sister, sis-ter, Kris. They also visited a.no'her sister and husband. Ronnie and Sally Rose and family. SSgt. and Mrs. Clyde Briscoe and daughter Judy of Killeen, Tex. have returned to their home after spending two weeks in Milford visiting their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Briscoq and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Holland, and brothers and sisters in the area. Also visiting Ed and Joan Holland were another daughter and husband, Candi and Hank Hance and daughter Tami of Kaysville. Mike and Penny Wisner and son Mark of Las Vegas were at the homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Wisner and Mr; and Mrs. George Sears for the holidays. Visiting their parents in Milford Mil-ford for the holidays were Laurel Lau-rel and Paul Wcodbury and three children of Logan, at the home of her parents, Roy and Virginia Young. Also visiting thee Youngs were their daughter daugh-ter and families, Mack and Iola Whittaker and three childrtn of Stamford, Conn. The Whit-takers Whit-takers also visited his mother, Phyllis and his sister and family, fam-ily, Margaret and Dennis Miller Mil-ler and daughter, and another daughter and husband, John and Thea Leppink and son David Da-vid of Logan. Among those visiting Ben and Mina Leppink and daughter daugh-ter Joan were their sons and wives, John and Thea and son David of Logan, Linus and De-anna De-anna and daughter Cindy n Salt Lake and the Leppink's daughter, Marianne of the U ,f U. While here Marianne helped out at the hospital. She is working tc wards her R.N. degree. de-gree. Olive Root, Mrs. Maurice Johnson and Ardath Outzer; spent the Christmas holidays in Salt Lake. Olive stayed with her daughter and family, Mar-gerat Mar-gerat and Mike McKnight and Mrs. Johnson stayed with her brother- and sister-in-law, Dick and Marie Johnson and then with the Johnson's daughter, and hurband and family, Ar-lene Ar-lene and Bob Morrill. Arda'.lt stayed at the home of her daughter and husband, Gene and Anna Marie Wright. While on Salt Lake the ladies attended attend-ed two family parties for the descendents of Antone Johnson) Ardith and Olive's father and Winnie's father-in-law. The first was held for the families at the Community Center on'. Red Wood Road on Friday, the 22nd of Dec. and the second was for the adults, Wednesday, Dec. 27. They had dinner at Andy's for 28 people. A Fondue party was held at the home of Margaret and Mike McKnight one night through the holidays for Olive and Maurice and Janet Jan-et Root and Dennis and Janet Ann Moore and daughter, Angela. their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Schramm. Their granddaughter Lori returned home with them to spend a few days. Mr. and Mrs. McCoy Williams and family had their son Randy Ran-dy home for the holidays. Randy Ran-dy goes to school in Provo. Mrs. Florence Barnes returned return-ed New Year's after spending amonth in Calif, visiting children child-ren at San Francisco, Riverside River-side and Rialto. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. The man Walker on Christmas Day were Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Mar-quardson Mar-quardson and children, Mrs. Hilda Nolan, Mrs. Colleen Urie and daughter of Cedar City, Mrs. Leslie Anderson and daughter, and Mrs. Shanna Anderson and baby of Anaheim, Calif. Staying during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Linus Leppink Lep-pink and Cindy of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Art Talbot and children and a friend, Gary Tassel of Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs. James Mayer entertained the Varsity Team and the Cheerleaders at a New Year's Eve party. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Gail VanTassell and family these holidays were Mr. and Mrs. Theo Smith of Logan and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Brad-shaw Brad-shaw of Cedar City. Visiting with Mr. and Mis. Robert Puffer and family were Bob's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jj Puffer and a sister and hui-band, hui-band, Maxine and Redd Edwards Ed-wards and family of Beaver. They enjoyed a Christmas Eve dinner together. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gillins had their children together for Christmas. They were Mr. and Mrs. Bob McKnight and daughter daugh-ter Nicole of Las Vegas who were here Saturday and Sunday Sun-day until Christmas morning; for Christmas dinner thera( were Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Gillins, Mr. and Mrs. John Kirk, Mr. and Mrs. Floren Bingham; all of Milford, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stoker and Steve, Lori, Mrs. Naomi Hughes returned Jan. 1st from Farmington where she attended the wedding of her granddaughter Connie, daughter of Col. and Mrs. Stanley Stan-ley Hughes of Shreiveport, La., to Mr. Johnathan Hughes of, Farmington. Mrs. Naomi Hughes spent the Christmas holidays with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnson of Logan. She also visited her son Vernon Hughes and family in Pocatello, Idaho and her sister, Mrs. Clark Anderson in Bountiful. Visiting the E. L. Smith's over the holidays were their daughter Lucille and friend, Beatrice Whipple of Denver, son, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund L. Smith of Manhattan Beach, Cal. and daughter, Mrs. Vernon Bit-tick Bit-tick of Saugus, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Hastings of Van Nuys, Calif., and Mrs. Bertha Hastings of Houston. Sheila Brinkman, Julie, Debbie and Scott; Clark and Caroline City. . Douglas and his wife met his brother and wife, Craig and Ruth Baxter and baby Tyler, Ty-ler, also of Portland, in Salt Lake at the home of the brother's bro-ther's sister and husband, Bonnie Bon-nie and Bob Maclntyre and family. The group was joined by two of Ruth's sisters and their husbands, Helen and Bud Yokem of San Francisco, Calif, and Bob and Tim Gorham of Chicago, 111. and they enjoved skiing in the area. Craig and Ruth and Tyler are with his parents in Milford now for a visit. The next day Jeanette flew to Sari Diego (Poway) to spend Christmas Christ-mas with her son Ne md wife Joan and their two children. child-ren. After a week's visit she returned to Salt Lake to the home of her daughter, Madelyn and Jim Mash. Due to one heavy snow storm Jeanette and Edith remained in Salt Lake until last Saturday, at which time, due to the snow-packed snow-packed reads and slow traffic, it took six hours to get from Salt Lake to Milford. Bob and Marge Schramm spent Christmas in Cedar with Christmas dinner guests at Ben and Vera Cooper's home were their children, Ron and Dalton, Gina, Nannette and Shaun, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thompson, all of Milford; Joi n and Ana Roberts and Travis cf San Diego, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Delos Hollis of La Mirada, Calif., Cal-if., and Mr. Lee Thompson o Salt Lake City. John and Anna spent a week with her parents before returning to San Diego. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Williams spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Clark (Linda) Sonzini in Farmington, Utah. They returned return-ed to Salt Lake City to visit Mr. and Mrs. Alden Hardy and were snowed in until New Year's Eve, when they returned return-ed home. Their grandson, Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Hardy, were also home for a visit over the holidays. Visiting Usher and Helta Wilcock for the Christmas holiday holi-day were their daughter and husband, Denny and Sandra James and two boys of Syracuse, Syra-cuse, Utah, and another daughter daugh-ter Brenda. Brenda is attending attend-ing BYU in Provo. Also visiting visit-ing the Wilcock family were Helen's mother, Emma Green of Beaver and her aunt, Rose Hartley of Leeds, Utah. Harold and Vvs Baxter enjoyed en-joyed the company of their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Baxter of Portland, Ore. over the Christmas holidays. Also visiting one night were Bruce and Marilyn Fotheringham and sons, David and Scott of Cedar |
