Show DECEMBER SET RECORDS FOR COLDEST, SNOWFALL Several records or near records rec-ords were noted by Gary Mal-chus Mal-chus of the U.S. Weather Service, Ser-vice, Milford Station. He noted that the records show that lait month, recorded . the greatest snowfall of any month in the 66 years of record keeping at the Milford station, with 30.G'' of snow. The second largest snowfall for a month was in Jan. 1949, 29.8 inches. December also had the coldest cold-est average temperature ever recorded at the Milford station. 15.8 compard to 16.33 in 1909 It was the second coldest ave. min at 1.7. -3.2 in 1911 Second coldest ave. maximum 29.8'. compared to 28.2 in 1909 And it was the third wettes December in 66 years. The wettest wet-test was 2.45 ineh-s in 1966 and 2.29 in 1947. 1971 was 221 inches. |
