Show Straw Vole Shows No Definite Pattern ney General with home town boy, Thorpe Waddingham, going go-ing against incumbent Vernon B. Romney. The only county-wide race is for the 2-year Commssioner seat, between incumben Richard Rich-ard Jefferson and Stan Roberts. The only other race of special spec-ial interest to Milford is in the District No. 5 School District race between incumbents, Norman Nor-man Lamb and Gary Sullivan. An attempt by the News to take a straw votes of Beaver County, by asking the American Ameri-can Problems classes of the Milford and Beaver High Schools to conduct a straw half fizzled when Milford didn't did-n't get the job done, due to the press of test week. But if the resul.s from BHS are any indication, splitting the ticket will be the rule rather than the exception. Mr. Don Tuffs class, also because of pressng tests, only conducted the vote in four of the top races. They gave Nixon and Agnew an 11-1 plurality with 45 votes to four for Mcovern and Shriv- er, the Democratic standard bearers. But then they switched to the Democrats and gave Owens 38 votes to Lloyd's 13. They continued this trend through the governor race, giving Tiamptan 37 to Strike's 12. For Secretary of State they went with young Republican Bill Dunn, 31 to Miller's 13. Also of extreme local interest inter-est will be the race for Attor- |
