Show FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR MAX D. ROOT, 64 Services were held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Milford LDS Ward Chapel fcr Max D. Root, who died of a heart attack in tne Milford hospital on October 10He was born Au'ust 19, 1908 in Cedar City to John A and Margaret Pace Root. He married mar-ried Olive Johnson on May 8, 1929 in Ely, Nev. He was an employee of the Union Pacific Railroad for 34 years A member of the Milford Masonic Lodge, Cedar City Lodge BPOE 1556, charter nember of Milford volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his widow Olive at home; one son, Maurice Max, Provo; two daughters, Mrs.' Michael (Margaret) Mc-Knight, Mc-Knight, Woods Cross; Mrs. Michael Mi-chael (Kay) Rich, Las Vegas, 9 grandchildren; great grandchild; grand-child; brother, J. C. Root, Milford; Mil-ford; sister, Mrs. F. W. (Billie) McKay. Boise, Ida. Services conducted by the Southern Utah Mortuary with burial in Milford Cemetery. Services were as follows: Prayer at the Mortuary by Gene Wright. Services were under the charge of Bishop Lamar La-mar Lund. Opening Prayer, Zealand Murdock; song, Josephine Jose-phine Killam, Bonnie Easton, Jerri Kirk, "Perfect Day"; Obituary, Shirl W. Nichols; Talk, Mitchell Fisher; piano selection, Marge Mecham; closing clos-ing prayer, Clark Morrell; dedication ded-ication of grave, Richard Johnson; John-son; The Masonic Lodge had charge of the graveside services. |
