Show Ptiticipal'd, CORNER By Jesse E. Long Region 8 Music Festival: The music festival was considered con-sidered to be a tremendous success. suc-cess. The day was filled with many outstanding solos and ensembles. It takes the effort of many for this kind of an activity acti-vity to be hosted by a small high school. I would like to extend a very special 'Thanks' to the Milford High School faculty, fac-ulty, Mrs. Rimpau's Homema-king Homema-king classes, several other students stu-dents who acted as secretaries in various capacities, our Better Schools Committee, the Beaver County News, and all involved for the important part each of you played as a member of the team to make this day a success. suc-cess. A very special commendation commenda-tion to Mr. Ferril Muir for his efforts in communicating with other schools for organizing things as we had them. I think that the fact the Milford faculty held on schedule and everything every-thing was completed by early afternoon speaks well for Mr. Muir's organization. Baseball: Our appreciation to our baseball base-ball coaches and team for their success through hard effort and work in defeating the AA high school, Hurricane, in two baseball base-ball games. It is always a special spe-cial pleasure to beat the big ones! Schedule and curriculum study: The Milford High School faculty fac-ulty will spend several hours in the remaining weeks of this school year in careful study of our curriculum and schedule for next year. We hope to improve im-prove this and continue to upgrade up-grade the quality of education in our school. Pop Machine: For the first time in several years, and with the approval by the Board of Education, the Milford High School Student Body has now installed a pop machine. This will be available to them before school, during noon hour, and after school so long as they do not abuse the privileges and can live within the recommendations of the Board as they specified when they gave permission for this machine. |
