Show Thelnia Gillins Is 'B:g Winner' In Merchants Xmas Drawing Winner of the Big Prize in the Milford Merchants Christmas Christ-mas Prize Drawing was Mrs. Thelma Gillins, and she cho:e as her $250 prize a set of five Atlas Nylon Tires from Don's Chevron Service. Other merchants participating participat-ing in the Big Prize were Valley Builders, Jefferson Mercantile Co., Babe Ruth, Sinclair Stations, Sam's Furniture Fur-niture & Appliance, Culver's Family Store, and Service Garage. Winners of. the additional prizes were Virginia Young, case of motor oil from Gary Sullivan's Sinclair; Mrs. Chas. Terry, $7.95 warm winter blanket blan-ket from Culver's; George Smith, $18.95 table lamp from Sam's Furniture & Appliance; Chinese dinner for two at Hong Kong (name unknown): $19.50 portable electric mixer from Jefferson's,: Marvin Hor-ton; Hor-ton; $10 gift certificate at Hushes Stvle & Floral ShoDDe. Robert Wright; $25 Schaeffer pen-pencil set - from Hiatt'3 Corner Drug, Charles Holm; 10 gallons gas at John's Sinclair Sin-clair (unclaimed) ; 10 gallons gas at Service Garage, Charles Atkin; 10 gals gas at Don's Chevron, Earl Thompson; 10 gals gas at Eddie's Sinclair, Hazel Moore; True - Temper casting rod from Babe's B & J Gale Banks; $5 shoe repair at 3urnette's Shoe Repair Shop, Gwen Rogers; $10 gift certificate certifi-cate at Lund's White Market, Gail Van Tassell. Lucky "scramblers" when, the live turkeys were tossed from the roof of Eddie's Sinclair were Wayne Hardy, Fred Gilliam, Gil-liam, Richard Griffiths, Herbert Her-bert Smith, Fred Miller, John Wilcock, Johnny Marshall and one other, name not known. Four of the turkeys were cleaned by Milford High's Let-termen's Let-termen's Club, and the other winners cleaned their own. |
