' Parley Fisher PARLEY FISHER DIES AT AGE OF 78 Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Wednesday morning for Parley Blackburn Fisher, 78, who died Sunday of causes incident in-cident to age.' Funeral services were as fol- lows: Prayer at the mortuary, preceding pre-ceding the services, Stanley M. Fisher. Prelude and postlude music, John H. Lofthouse. Invocation, Joseph C. Smith. Song, "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go," Obra Myers and Victor Myers, accompanied by Helen Gillins. Obituary, Bishop Leon Jones. Song, "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine," Sylva Davu and Vivian Marshall, accompanied accompa-nied by Lora Johnson. Speaker, William L. Myers. Song, "Oh My Father," Jesse Long, accompanied by Lora Johnson. Pallbearer were Jan Fisher, Bart Fisher, Clair Gillins, Bob ' Goodwin, McCoy Williams and Robert Tomsik. The flowers were in charge of the Relief Society, asissted by friends. The grave in Milford City Cemetery was dedicated by LaMar Lund. Mr. Fisher was born Nov. 28, 1886, in Minersville, to Joseph Martin and Mary Dionicia Blackburn Fisher. He married Gertrude Myers Dec. 14, 1909, in Beaver. The marriage was later solemnized in the St. George Temple. Mrs. Fisher died Aug. 23, 1964. Mr. Fisher was a farmer, miner, and carpenter. For ?4 years he was a member of the Beaver County Board of Education. Edu-cation. Active in the L D S Church, he had worked in the Sunday School, YMMJA, and for several years he and Mrs Fisher did genealogy ordinance work in the ft. George Temple. Surviving are sons Parley Vance, Norman Gene, and Hal Joseph, all of. Woodland, Calif.; Ray S., Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Ira M., Milford; also 18 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Stan-ley M. Fisher, Midvale. |
