Show PARADE, SWIM, RACES WILL BE PIONEER DAY FEATURES By Bob Wright The July 24th Ceiebration in Milford promises to be one of the best in recent years. Various organizations and auxiliaries have been working feverishly to complete com-plete their entries for the grand parade, which will begin be-gin promptly at 9:30 a. m. Friday. Leading off the parade and the day's festivities will be His Honor, Mayor Ray Kizer, with his beautiful horse and trailer, followed by more horses hors-es and riders and many beautiful beauti-ful floats. R. H. (Babe) Ruth has donated do-nated use of his truck and loudspeaker, and Buss Carson donated the use of his chuck-wagon chuck-wagon for concessions. There will be races tor the kids, and a free swim at the Legion Park pool. If the Second Sec-ond Ward bishopric shows up there will also be a race to determine which bishopric is best on their toes. To end the day's festivities, there will be an apron and overall dance in the LDS Chapel. The stomping will begin be-gin at 8:30 p. m. to the music of the Spyder Combo. There is no admission charge, and everyone is cordially invited. |
