Show ARTHUR HARDY DIES IN CEDAR CTY ' Arthur Eugene Hardy, 51, chairman of the Industrial Education Ed-ucation Division at the College of Southern Utah, died Dec. 15 of a heart attack, at his home in Cedar City. Mr. Hardy had been president presi-dent of the CSU faculty organization or-ganization and chairman of a number of the college's special committees. He was chairman of Vocational Day ' when high school students came to the college for a look at the advantages ad-vantages it offered. . He was immediate past president pres-ident of the Southern Utah Alcoholics Al-coholics Council, past chairman of the Cedar City Safety Council, Coun-cil, and a member of the Cedar Ce-dar City Lions Club. He was an active member of the LDS Church. At the time of his death he was chairman of the Traffic and Safety Committee at CSU. Mr. Hardy was born April 16, 1911, in Minersville, a son of Arthur Orwin and Emma Elizabeth Davis Hardy. He married Elma Bird April 8, 1933, at Parowan. The marriage mar-riage later was solemnized in the St. George Temple. He was a graduate of CSU and Utah State University. He is survived by his widow, three brothers and two sisters, Dr. Warren G. Hardy, Detroit; Clark Maurice Hardy, Alamo, Nev.; Rusell Orwin Hardy and Mrs. J. Delos (Ruby) Baker, both Salt Lake City, and Mrs. DeWitt (Olive) Branning, of American Fork. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Tuesday in Cedar City. Burial was in the Cedar City Cemetery. |
